Finance Act – 2020, now available on Incometax India website

Finance Bills was introduced on 01.02.2020 in the parliament by our Hon’ble Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

As we know a bill becomes an act only after it is passed by both the houses of parliament and it receives accent of the President of India.

The Finance bill was finally passed in Lok Sabha amid this pandemic on 23.03.2020 and same received president’s assent on 27.03.2020 and became an act.

Since it was just available in PDF format with the amendments many were not able to read it properly and were not able to link it with earlier provision.

However, now the amendment’s made by Finance Act, 2020 has been incorporated in the Income Tax act and is now available on Income tax India website.
