UDIN needs to be now generated within 15 days of issuing/ generating Certificates / Reports / Documents applicable from 1st January 2020.
Earlier this limit was one time increased to 30 days by the Council in a decision taken at its 386th Meeting held on 18th and 19th September, 2019 for generating UDIN on Certificates / Reports / Documents signed between 20th August, 2019 to 31st December, 2019 will lapse on 31st Dec., 2019.
The above step of extending the time to 30 days was taken was taken so that Chartered accountant could easily generate UDIN for Tax audit reports.
UDIN was a unique step taken by ICAI effective from 01.02.2019 for certifying any documents by practicing Chartered accountant and this step was taken to stop people who were misrepresenting themselves as CA Members and issuing certificates which was affecting the image of ICAI.
As on Date 7939901 UDINs have been generated.

Already 15 days passed do I have any other alternative.
Sir, If 15 days have passed and you haven’t validated the report then in that case the form or report uploaded on e filing by you won’t be considered as valid.
Hence, it is advised to re-upload it and generate UDIN again because as of now there is no provision for condonation in such case.
